The Ranieri family was first mentioned in official records in 1711, in Città di Castello: “Baldo and his father Vincenzo, residents of Badia di Petroia…” By 1760, Pietro, Vincenzo’s son, was recorded as the owner of farmland with olive and poppy trees.
These early traces of our heritage were brought to light by our friend Lorenzo — a kind, knowledgeable archivist whose dedication helped us rediscover our roots.
Our passion for olive oil has deep roots, cultivated over three centuries.
The olive tree — with its rough bark, green leaves, and rich purple fruit — has long captured our family’s devotion. A symbol of sustainability and longevity, it thrives quietly in the Umbrian hills, just as we have.
Despite early challenges, our journey began — and continues — with love, tradition, and respect for the land.
